Miguel Colquicocha

Lawyer

Lawyer and Economist specializing in International Trade, Arbitration, and International Law, with extensive experience advising on and litigating cases before international arbitral tribunals.


Within his international arbitration practice, he has represented States and companies in more than twelve international cases administered by ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes), the ICC (International Chamber of Commerce, Paris), the PCA (Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague), among others. He has also served as an arbitrator in commercial disputes and has been included on the roster of arbitrators at several arbitral institutions across multiple Latin American countries.


He is currently an attorney at Dante Legal, where he advises exporters at every stage of their international operations, promoting efficiency and legal certainty in commercial transactions.


In addition, he is a Professor of Commercial Law at the National University of Rosario (Argentina) and a Professor of Investment Arbitration at the National University of La Plata (Argentina). He regularly serves as a coach for teams competing in international commercial and investment arbitration competitions at the National University of Rosario and the University of Chile, and also participates as an arbitrator in those competitions. He is frequently invited as a speaker and lecturer on arbitration and international law topics throughout Latin America.


Regarding his academic background, he has studied at prestigious institutions in the Americas and Europe. He holds degrees as an Attorney and Economist from the National University of Rosario (Argentina) and an LL.M. in International Law, Trade, and Investment from the University of Heidelberg (Germany) and the University of Chile. He has also completed postgraduate diplomas in International Contracts and Litigation at Austral University (Buenos Aires, Argentina), and in Investment Arbitration at American University (Washington, D.C., United States).
